Project Overview

This documentation was undertaken as part of the National Institute of Fashion Technology’s Craft Research Documentation project for Semester 5 students. It is a collaborative effort by six students from the Department of Fashion Communication. The project aims to revive and highlight the craft of handloom by bringing it to the forefront through mediums such as a coffee table book and a craft documentary, focusing on different regions of India. It also seeks to promote sustainable practices and Indian crafts. The project was completed over the course of one week at the Paravur Handloom Co-operative Society in Kochi, Kerala.
